After the wood has been sized for length x width and thickness we then carve out the wood to a nominal depth of 2-4mm. We then place silicon sealant around where the colours of the epoxy resin are to be poured effectively making a well for the epoxy resin and to stop the bleeding of colours from one section to another.
(Stage 2) Epoxy Resin is then mixed and colour pigments are added for the desired coloured effect. Resin is then poured into the voids designated for their respective colours. (Stage 3) The epoxy resin takes up to 72 hours to fully cure, after this the board is planed to remove the excess epoxy from the top of the board. (Stage 4) The board is then polished using increasing grit grades up to 2000 grit to get a smooth and scratch free finish. After this the board is oiled and ready for sale
